Future President?

No, I'm not talking about Mike...I'm talking about Adam! He's been meeting all kinds of important people working at the State Capitol. I'm so excited for him because he has been getting all kinds of acceptance letters into law school. He's probably not going to like that I'm posting this information...but it's my blog and I'm a proud sister! :)
I've been busy planning activities for when my mom and Ryan's parents come. We're going to have a busy 10 days! My mom comes March 16-21 and Ryan's parents get here on the 21st. I'll be at the airport dropping mom off and picking up the Pearmans. It's going to be a lot of fun and I'm really excited. I've really been missing everybody from home! To all my accounting friends, I've been praying for you and I hope that busy season isn't getting you down! I feel guilty that I am not there with you (just guilty, but not like I wish I was there too). I'll be home April 10, so maybe I can come give you a big pep-talk and cheer you on to the end! With all the vacation time you're accumulating, I assume you'll be planning a trip to Dominica sometime this summer?
Ryan has a stressful week coming up, so please say prayers for him. I'm so glad I'm not in medical school...it's awful. I get depressed when I just spend 15 minutes quizzing him. I wouldn't do too well studying all day, everyday. He's really doing a great job staying motivated. We have some fun activities planned for next weekend. Friday I am going to Secret Beach with several other spouses (the only way you can get to it is by boat). Then Saturday Ryan and I are going river tubing with about 15 other people. I'm really excited about that! I've heard that it's more like a lazy river where everyone has their own intertube and you just float down the river next to each other. If it's been raining, the water will be rushing and we'll be floating faster. I probably won't have any pictures from that because I can't get my camera wet. I need to get a waterproof case but I'm not sure if/where they have those here!

Thanks for the update. So proud of Adam, any law school in the country would be proud to have him as one of their students! I will be praying for Ryan as he prepares for the tests. I know you are so excited to be having your mom and Ryan's parents to visit you. It will be great for all of you!
Thanks for the messages you leave on Joseph's blog. You always say the sweetest things. I am going this Wed. and can't wait. It's almost been 2 weeks since I've seen them. The last day of treatment is the 26th and I guess they will move back the next day to Atlanta. Love you Ashley, and pray for you every morning. Love, kathy

You should be proud of Adam! I'm a proud aunt, too! Thanks for sharing the photo with us and an update about law school. I haven't seen him since your wedding.
Hope your river float excursion was fun and uneventful. Did you see any river creatures? I still can't get used to the wild life here. The other day there was a stork just sitting in our backyard. Last night we had to delay grilling our meat because a big tree frog jumped into the grill right when we were getting ready to turn it on. Steve promised me that he saw it jump out before he turned it on . . . but I'm not so sure. Two springs ago, there was a gator in the retention pond that our house backs up to. Poor Kramer (our dog) wasn't allowed out of my sight.
I know you're counting down the days before your mom and Ryan's parents arrive. Thanks for the posts, I love reading about your exciting life on the nature isle! Love, Mel
