Seeing Roseau as a tourist...

Tuesday a group of 9 of us headed to Roseau to grocery shop for Thanksgiving next week. There are only 2 days a year when 4 cruise ships dock in Roseau at the same time...yesterday was one of those days. I had never seen Roseau so busy! Everyone was trying to take us on tours and sell us souvenirs and we kept telling them that we live here. Ralna's parents went with us. They are hilarious. Her dad kept us entertained the entire bus ride.

Anyone see anything they want??

I don't know if you can read this sign or not, but it is the Dominican Olympic Committee. How long do you think I have to live here to be able to compete in the Olympics for Dominica? What sport should I try to compete in?

Ashley, Finally!! It took you a while, but I think we have found a way to pass your time in Dominica. Training for the Olympics. As your former coach, I am offering my services. Our first decision is to decide which sport we would have the best chance of bringing home the gold. Although "The Dominican Bobsled TEAM" has a nice ring, the Jamaicans beat us to that idea. Besides, the Winter Olympics aren't until 2010. So, our goal is to be in Beijing next summer. I have a few suggestions of possible medals we could go after. My first thought was softball but I remebered that crow-hop defect you developed. Springboard diving might be worth a try if we could overcome one hand being used to hold your nose. How about indoor kitchen tennis? Dominican dominoes? Cupcake baking? Cow milking? We've got to pick something soon so we can begin training. How about another poll that your readers can pick your sport? Remember, I like to vote early and often! I love you!!! Your future gold medal winning coach and dad
