As we were quickly walking through O'Hare airport Wednesday afternoon Ryan exclaimed, "There's Kyle and Andrea!". I tried to pass behind him quickly but I tripped over the carry-on bag Ryan was wheeling behind him. I didn't kind of trip, I was airborne, with my arms straight out in front of me like Superman. I couldn't stop myself. I hit the ground pretty hard. Ryan said I looked like a little kid because I'm kind of short and had a huge backpack on my back. My hands and knees hurt so bad! My knees are pretty blue and purple now. The fall happened right by the security point and the security guys were laughing and said they had captured everything on camera. I'm sure they all gathered around the screen during lunch hour and rewound my big fall and all had a huge laugh. I figured it would show up on youtube, but I haven't seen it there so far.
Anyway, we're back in Dominica! Wednesday night we went to Old San Juan with Kyle and Andrea and ate at the Parrot Club. It was very good. Different, but good. We were on a little adventure through Puerto Rico. Ryan accidentally forgot his UT hat at the restaurant. We are hoping that somewhere in San Juan someone is wearing a TN hat. Ryan woke up early Thursday morning and went down to talk to the airlines about our situation. We ended up getting to fly back to Dominica yesterday on the flight we were originally scheduled to be on! So thanks for the prayers!
Getting back is very bittersweet. It's good to see our friends and have a place that is our own, but very hard to readjust. When I sat on our bed last night I was very sad because I had been sleeping on a cloud for 3.5 weeks in the U.S. Our new apartment is coming together fast and starting to feel like home. We got two packages today! That really made my day! Thank you Beth and Elizabeth! :) The car is working and we are happy to have it. We practically had all flat tires, but Ryan was able to fill them up and now we are good to go. Ryan got registered for his classes today and now he is at the beach with Adam. I wanted to stay here and unpack. When you live in smaller spaces, organization is very important! We are going to try to go to a restaurant tonight called Blue Bay. We've never been there before. We are still very tired from the traveling, but are thankful to be here rather than in Antigua trying to catch a 5:50 AM flight tomorrow!

We're glad that you are back safely. By the way, I have seen a copy of your slide in Chicago, and after further reveiw, you were safe!! Love, Dad
Hey, girl, pray for Andy and me... we're stuck in San Juan after getting bumped off our flight today because American Airlines wouldn't let us off the plane in time to make our stupid Liat flight... We're on standby for tomorrow, so we can use all the prayers we can get!!!!
Glad that you are back to your island home safely. Sorry for your bruises. You could have knocked out your front teeth!! You would have looked like a first grader until the end of the semester!! Are there dentists in Dominica? Love you, Mom
