Last Friday RCF had a huge campus-wide cookout. Free to everybody. I was serving salads for about 2 hours. I bet I said "We have pasta salad, garden salad, potato salad and cole slaw and you may choose one" about 300 times. We served around 415 people. It was a lot of fun. We had to wear these plastic gloves and I felt like I was ready to scrub in for surgery. I really hated those gloves. They made my hands hot and sweaty, which made the gloves fit tighter.
Yesterday as I was going to get in the car, this big guy was waiting for me on the gate. I couldn't go within 8 feet of the gate. So, I went out the front gate and walked around to the side to get my car. Can you tell how huge this is? Zoom in if you can. As you can imagine, I had a night full of spider nightmares last night. One of our friends said he had one of those in his apartment! (He does not live in our apartment.) I asked Ryan if we could sleep with the lights on, but he couldn't sleep like that. I couldn't sleep at all.
And here is the completed masterpiece! Way better, right?! Just safety pins and a little fabric glue! Other news...Daily Bread has taken off and we have been super busy! The good news is we have a job that we can do on our own terms and our own hours, not to mention we are making money! :) Ryan had his first flag football game last night and they won! Woo-hoo! Undefeated so far! :) Tonight is women's bible study, so I need to clean the apartment. Afterwards, Ryan and I and some friends are going to the movie on campus. Tonight they are showing Dan in Real Life. I really don't know much about it, but I'm a fan of Michael Scott!
