Quick Update

Well, around 1:15 PM today they turned our electricity off. I called the electric company and, as it turns out, our landlord hasn't paid our electric bill in months (we were under the impression electric was included in our rent). SO...it's lights out at the Pearmans'...for now anyway. I called the electric company and explained our situation and they said they would try to turn it back on by midnight tonight. At least we trained for this in Dominica. I'm in the business center of our apartment building right now updating the blog because, well, no power=no cable=no internet in our apartment! We only have one little candle to get us through the night! We haven't decided if we are moving or not. We're waiting to hear back from the owner of the other apartment. Apparently, if we don't get this worked out by Friday the bank is backing out and the deal is off and we're staying in our current apartment. Thanks for the comments, phone calls, and prayers. It's definitely been a stressful 2 days!
