Happy

I found the video at the bottom through one of our friends. It's called "Everything's Amazing, Nobody's Happy". I think it's funny and true at the same time. I am part of the most spoiled generation ever and we don't appreciate how good we have it! However, living in a third world country for almost 2 years did help us gain a big appreciation for the things we have and I think I am generally a happier person since living in Dominica.
I am loving Miami and I really love our apartment. Do I talk about that too much? Whenever I say it in front of Ryan he gets nervous and is afraid I'm going to want to stay here forever. Not at all...I can't wait to grow into an old lady in Tennessee but in the meantime I'm trying to enjoy every "stop" we have on our road back to TN. Since our apartment is on the Miracle Mile, we can get away with walking most places. This is a big deal to me because I really hate driving. I've always hated it. Whenever we go anywhere Ryan always drives. So I'm loving the fact that there is a drugstore connected to our building and I can take an elevator down, grab diet coke and shampoo and take the elevator again and I'm home! This past weekend was Carnaval on the Mile 2009. There were tents all up and down the streets selling art, clothes, jewelry, food, etc. There was also live music constantly. It was really neat and there was a big variety of things available. There was one tent called Pirates & Princesses and it looked like a little child's heaven. They had the big blow-up play things that you can jump in and other games like that. We went to the pool and it was really fun to lay by our pool and still get to enjoy the live music down on the street below us. Nathan & Kristen get here Saturday! We are trying to plan some fun things to do with them and then my mom is coming to visit the week after. It's time for my dad to go on the medical mission trip to Panama again, so my mom will be staying with us for the week! I can't wait for our company!!
I'm sure you've noticed that I added music to the blog. If you don't already know, you can scroll down to the very bottom of the blog and pause the music so that when you watch videos you can here them without the music playing. Do you like the music playing? I'm taking a vote on the right of the blog. I think I'm starting to get annoyed by the music. We'll see what the vote looks like at the end of the week and then maybe we'll go back to a silent blog.
