Tonight we decided we wanted to make pancakes and eggs for dinner. I was cooking away on my gas stove and even though the burner was on as low as it would go, the pancakes were all burning! When Ryan came out of the room from studying, the kitchen and living room were filled with smoke. We had to open the doors and windows, turn on the fan and cancel the pancake dinner. However, Ryan wanted to eat the two that were ready (even though they were burnt...just see the pic above). Clearly this was not going to be enough dinner, so I asked him what else he would like. He chose ABCs. As we sat down to dinner and turned the TV on Ryan said "Can you tell what's on? There is very low visibility in the room tonight." There really was. The room stayed smokey for a while.
